Nutrition Counselling Expenses
Services provided by registered dietitians are covered by many private insurance plans and health spending accounts.
Even if you don’t have a plan, fees paid to a registered dietitian can be claimed as a Medical Expense Tax Credit on your tax return since registered dietitians are considered Authorized Medical Practitioners by the Income Tax Act.
Total Nutrition Assessment – 2 sessions (2 hours total)
Complete analysis of your resting metabolic rate (RMR), your current caloric intake, micronutrient status and lifestyle factors. You’ll receive nutrition recommendations, resources and a meal plan customized for your needs and lifestyle.
Total Nutrition Assessment for Couples – 2 sessions per person (4 hours total)
Same services as above for those who wish to improve their nutrition with a partner, family member or friend. Sessions may be scheduled together or separately.
Nutrition Maintenance Package – 7 sessions (4.5 hours total)
For those requiring longer term nutritional support. Includes a Total Nutrition Assessment, five 30-minute nutrition counselling sessions, exercises and meal plans.
Resting Metabolic Rate Testing (RMR) – 30 minutes
Determining your RMR – caloric requirements at rest – is very beneficial in planning and customizing a calorie-balanced meal plan, individually tailored to meet your specific needs. Can be combined with a nutrition counselling session.
Nutrition Counselling / Education Session – 1 session (60 minutes)
Nutrition counselling and consulting for specific areas of interest: decreasing your fat, sodium, and cholesterol intake; the benefits of increasing fiber; healthy vitamins and minerals; pre and probiotics; blood glucose control, and more.
Getting Started Package – 4 Sessions (4 Hours Total)
You will work one-on-one with our Registered Dietitian, and Exercise Physiologist to help guide the way to a healthy, and sustainable lifestyle.
Total Nutrition Assessment (2 Hours Total):
Complete analysis of your resting metabolic rate (RMR), assessment of body composition using Tanita scale, analysis of your current caloric intake, micronutrient status and lifestyle factors. You’ll receive nutrition recommendations, resources and a meal plan customized for your needs and lifestyle.
Total Fitness Assessment (2 Hours Total):
A comprehensive analysis of your baseline fitness level – a complete health and lifestyle assessment. Analysis of your cardiovascular fitness, strength, balance, and flexibility levels.
Combined Fitness & Nutrition Programs
Customized Nutrition and Fitness packages on request.
